PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk through its Corporate Social Resposibility (CSR) and Waskita Cares program, distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and medical equipment assistance to several Puskesmas and Hospitals, both in Jakarta and in areas to help prevent the spread of the COVID outbreak -19. The aid was distributed in the form of 500 pcs of hazmat clothes, 500 pcs of safety goggles, 500 pcs of face shields, 720 mask boxes, 536 boxes of medical gloves and 10 pcs of thermo guns that met medical standards.
Apart from CSR funds, this activity also came from voluntary donations of Waskita employees and subsidiaries that were collected in Waskita Cares. In carrying out this activity, Waskita distributed medical equipment assistance to government referral hospitals, regional governments, and a number of other health agencies to be able to distribute PPE assistance and needed medical equipment directly. Waskita as one of the BUMNs has a role in the community through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Waskita Cares programs that consistently and continuously help the community to get the best health services.
Waskita will continue to channel aid as a form of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk's commitment to continue providing support to the government in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic. This CSR and Waskita Care activity is a form of social responsibility and responsibility from PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk to the community, especially those around Waskita's operational areas throughout Indonesia. It is hoped that with this awareness activity, the community can benefit from the presence of Waskita.
